Khabib Nurmagomedov showed off his special watch collection from Jacob and Co on Instagram.
Khabib Nurmagomedov – arguably the greatest UFC fighter to ever grace the octagon, retired only last month after deciding to hang up his gloves at UFC 254, after beating Justin Gaethje.
It came as a shock to the MMA world since he was just entering his prime. But the Eagle revealed that he wouldn’t be able to continue without his late father by the ringside.
The Dagestani is a smart businessman as well, soon after he retired, he launched a mobile network called the Eagle Mobile (Available in Dagestan). He also ventured into the fight business, as he purchased Gorilla Fighting Championship which has now been renamed Eagle Fighting Championship.
Khabib also plans to globalize Eagle Fighting Championship someday, partnering with UFC President Dana White.
More recently, the Eagle decided to show off a special timepiece from Jacob and Co, bearing his nickname ‘The Eagle’ at its back. Jacob and Co is a luxury watch brand founded in 1986 by Diamond designer Jacob Arabo.
Posting a promo video of the watch, Khabib captioned the post:
“One of my favorite @jacobandco Khabib timepieces. This timepiece includes my UFC nickname “The Eagle”, my undefeated record and my signature on the back of the watch.”
The watch is limited to only 50 pieces and it is price around a staggering 96500 US dollars.
Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals which fight had him dreaming of the lightweight title
Almost eight years ago, on the 20th of April, 2013; Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez fought for the UFC lightweight title. Khabib who had just joined the UFC then was among the audience at the HP Pavilion Arena in San Jose, California.
A closely fought contest saw Henderson pip Melendez via. split decision, thereby winning the lightweight championship.
ESPN MMA had posted a throwback video of the same on Instagram, and Khabib left a comment on the post saying:
“I was in arena. At that time they fought ( Benson vs Melendez ) for the lightweight title. I dreamed and watched.”
