Khabib Nurmagomedov recently responded to Tony Ferguson after the latter hit called him an ‘Old Fathead’

The war of words between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will probably never cease. After having been booked to fight a staggering 5 times, the two never faced off inside the Octagon due to the fight getting cancelled each and every time for a number of reasons.

Almost periodically, Ferguson makes it a point to take a dig at Khabib – especially bringing up the ‘Tiramisu Gate’ wherein Khabib was seen eating a Tiramisu ahead of UFC 209. Their fight at UFC 209 had been cancelled since Khabib couldn’t make weight.

Now that Khabib has retired, he introduced a new weight class in his MMA promotion – EAGLE FC (165lbs). Taking a dig at Khabib for doing the same, Ferguson tweeted:

“PumpPump It Up!” Pretty Sure Ol’ Fathead Got In His Fix For The GoodStuff. Doesn’t He Know That S—t Will Go Straight To His Hips  Fwaah-Nah-Nahhhh So Fat He Had To Make A New Weight Class mackWhat AMaroon  GoShowty -CSO-  # BOGOBISH’ CurrentMude.”

Khabib recently hit back at Ferguson tweeting:

“June 8, 2019.”

June 8, 2019 was the last time Ferguson ever won a fight in the UFC. He took on Donald Cerrone and beat him via. TKO by means of doctor stoppage.

Since then, Ferguson has lost three fights in a row – to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush.

Tony Ferguson brings up towel gate

The most recent event Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov were scheduled to face was at UFC 249. This time it was the travel restrictions that caused Khabib to pull out.

In reply to Khabib’s recent Tweet, Ferguson brought that up:

“UFC 209 Blamed It On The Cake, Felt Fear For His Life. UFC 249 Ran To Momma #towelgate -CSO-.”
