Khabib Nurmagomedov dropped some serious knowledge on former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold
Khabib Nurmagomedov announced a shock retirement last year after beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. His retirement was officially confirmed by the UFC and Dana White, last month.
Despite retiring, his love for the sport never ends. He has now taken up coaching, and has accompanied fellow Dagestani fighters, including his brothers Umar and Usman to victories in respective fights this year.
The Eagle is also renowned for his extensive theoretical knowledge about the sport of MMA. He has each and every information about the sport on his finger tips.
And, in a recent video shared by his coach and American Kickboxing Academy founder Javier Mendez, Khabib can be seen ‘educating’ former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold about comparisons between the UFC and the now-defunct Strikeforce.
The clip begins with Rockhold claiming that he was winning titles when Khabib was in diapers. Rockhold goes on to say that it was in 2011, since Khabib thought Rockhold was referring to his UFC championship days.
On learning that it was Strikeforce, Khabib puts on a sarcastic smile and says that it was just an ‘okay’ish organization.
However, Rockhold and Mendez claim that Strikeforce had some great champions, and that’s when Khabib dropped some knowledge bombs.
He can be seen saying:
“I have a question. 2011 when he won the Strikeforce world championship, who was the best in the world, by the way? Anderson Silva! How can he become the world champion if he does not beat Anderson Silva!”
Kamaru Usman believes a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov would be the biggest in UFC history
Kamaru Usman has been wreaking havoc in the welterweight division of the UFC. No one has even come close to beating the Nigerian Nightmare. He is slowly diving into the realms of UFC GOATS.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Usman was asked how a fight with the Russian would go.
While he did say that the fight was hypothetical, he claimed that it would be the biggest fight in the history of the UFC, if it ever happened.
Usman then goes on to say that even a fight against Georges St-Pierre had more chances of happening, than a fight against Khabib.
