Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov shares the latest update regarding his NFT collection
UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov became one of the most popular sportspersons to jump onto the NFT hype-train back in late March.
The Russian’s NFTs, which are unique digital tokens, were a hit amongst his fans to an extent that even he did not see coming.
And now, he has shared a new update regarding the sale of these Non-Fungible Tokens on his Instagram. The post mentions that the deadline of the NFT sale has been extended from April 29th to May 29th to the time taken in processing orders.
Nurmagomedov also mentioned that almost half of the NFT stock has already been sold. In total, 320 cards were released with just one ultra-rare Platinum token.
But, Khabib also had some bad news for his fans in the United States of America who wanted to purchase the NFTs.
His post mentions that due to problems arising from the decisions of America’s financial agencies, sales cannot be made to customers in the US.
“We have also decided not to sell NFT to US citizens as subsequent decisions of the US financial agencies may have unpredictable consequences. We apologize to all the customers who had to wait longer while their request was being processed, and we hope for your understanding. We also apologize to all the US citizens who were unable to get our NFT.”
Nurmagomedov also states that there will be an announcement regarding a special future event for the Gold and Platinum card owners.
Khabib seems to be making good use of his time outside the octagon and this is just one of his latest venturs.
‘The Eagle’ has also taken an active role as a coach and a cornerman for his teammates where he helps fighters like Usman Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev in training.
