“I really wanna bite his heart” – Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals why he attacked Dillon Danis at UFC 229

Khabib Nurmagomedov was the latest guest in Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast

A war broke out after Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor at UFC 229. In a heated clash, The Russian successfully defended his lightweight title after beating the Irishman via submission due to a neck crank in the fourth round.

However, there was more to that eventful night. No sooner did McGregor tap out than Khabib jumped out of the cage and attacked McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis.

It took a legion of securities to bring the situation under control.

In a recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Khabib revealed why he attacked Danis. ‘The Eagle of Dagestan’ took a page out of Tyson’s book quoting something on the lines of ‘Iron Mike’s furious callout of Lennox Lewis.

Khabib said:

“Oh, I have to bite his [Danis] heart [Khabib’s thoughts after jumping out of the cage]…I really wanna bite his heart.”

The fight took place in October 2018. Only 6 months before UFC 229, a nasty bus attack took place. McGregor had attacked a bus carrying Khabib and his teammates after Khabib confronted McGregor’s friend Artem Lobov.

This led to massive bad blood between McGregor and Khabib. Dillon Danis had fanned the flames by disrespecting Khabib’s entire crew which led to further rage amidst the Dagestanis.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted to McGregor belittling his dad on Twitter.

The Irishman had posted a Tweet, a week ago that read: – “Covid is good and father is evil?”

TMZ Sports caught up with Khabib and asked for his opinion on the same. The Russian replied that it was “Terrible”, and that he had crossed the line.
