Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champions, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway will clash in Creed: Rise to Glory multiplayer VR Boxing game
The Metaverse has taken the world by storm. Tipped as the next big thing in gaming and interactive experiences, the platform is scaling by the day.
In what is a first of its kind event, LegionFarm the two former UFC champions will clash in the main event on February 12th, 2022. This is the first-ever professional boxing match to be held in the Metaverse.
The event will be streamed live on Twitch and commentated by former two-division MMA champion Daniel Cormier.
Fans will get the opportunity to attend an exclusive forum in Mozilla hubs, where Khabib Nurmagomedov and Holloway will answer their questions, and fans will also have the opportunity to fight Khabib and Holloway in a virtual reality boxing match.
Viewers will need to purchase NFT that will serve as membership tokens in order to enter the event via browser or VR headset.
This pair was scheduled to fight each other at UFC 223, however, Holloway had to pull out of the fight. This fight will be a gift for fans who always visualized this fight to be an absolute classic.
While promoting his first-ever Eagle FC event in US soil, Khabib Nurmagomedov sat down with the Nelk Boys and touched upon his fighting career and newly adopted promoter role in a rather candid interview.
When asked about his favourite music and whether he keeps up with the current music scene, he said that he’d rather spend his time away from distractions and focus on work. He also shared an interesting story from the UFC 229 weigh ins involving Drake.
