Khamzat Chimaev seems to be hunting Conor McGregor down for a fight

Rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev seems to be fixated on fighting Conor McGregor next. The pair have traded barbs on social media in recent weeks, after the Swede’s debut in the promotion.

Chimaev is 2-0 in the UFC after taking his bouts in the span of 10 days. He also fought in two different divisions and is searching for his next opponent.

Dillon Danis, Demian Maia and McGregor have all been called out by Chimaev after his second win. However, McGregor seems to be the one he wants the most. He pinged Dana White about setting up a fight after the Irishman posted a “rat lip” comment on social media.

While that has been deleted, Chimaev is hunting McGregor down and his latest social media post suggested the same.

It featured McGregor cycling down a road while Chimaev was chasing him down in a car:

Chimaev also used a chicken emoji, which is what he has been calling him for a while.

Chimaev vs McGregor the next fight?

While McGregor is a former two-division champion, the Irishman was out of action after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

However, the Irishman returned in fantastic fashion and defeated Donald Cerrone with ease. McGregor also claimed he was ready for more fights later this year but hasn’t been in action since beating Cerrone.

The 32-year-old retired from the UFC in June, but he has pulled off similar stunts in the past.

Chimaev vs McGregor could be another blockbuster event and it will be interesting to see if this takes place. The Swede wants to fight again and is expected to feature sometime in August or September.

Borz, as Chimaev is called, has impressed in his two UFC fights. However, taking on someone like McGregor would be a real test for the undefeated MMA star.
