Khamzat Chimaev makes a bold prediction should he fight Israel Adesanya in the future
Khamzat Chimaev, who’s known for his dominant display inside the octagon and personality high on self-esteem, made a bold prediction for a fancy matchup against middleweight king Israel Adesanya after ‘The Last Stylebender’ saw off Robert Whittaker in the rematch at UFC 271.
Chimaev has won all four of his fights inside the UFC octagon by finishes and has competed in the welterweight and middleweight division. The nature of his supremacy is reflected in a never seen before stat which shows that he’s only been at the receiving end of a cumulative three strikes in his four matches.
UFC fighters and MMA pundits have tipped him to be the only fighter who can derail the championship run of the UFC welterweight and middleweight champions.
Following Adesanya’s victory over Whittaker, Chimaev wrote:
“@stylebender easy money for me, 0 wrestling. 1 round I’m gonna kill him.”
Will Khamzat claim double champ status in the future still remains a question as the fans await fight news for ‘The Wolf’
Khamzat Chimaev has taken the MMA world by storm, emerging as one of the hottest prospects in recent times.
Although his dominance is reminiscent of prime Khabib Numagomedov, his personality and demeanour is unique to him. Khamzat has built his reputation by willing to fight anyone and issuing open challenges to the elite competition in the welterweight division.
Earlier this week he proposed a fight between himself and the winner of Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington. These ideas seemed to pique the interest of UFC lightweight Terrance Mckinney who expressed it on Twitter.
“I like that match up,” he wrote.
Reports have emerged that a potential fight between Khamzat and Gilbert Burns is in the works and many believe this fight will legitimize the hype should he win this fight.
