It looks like rising welterweight Khamzat Chimaev wants a piece of the great GSP
Khamzat Chimaev is hungry and needs to be fed. He has been the embodiment of his nickname ‘The Borz’ which translates to Wolf in Chechen, of late – at least this has been the case since his destructing victory over Li Jingliang at UFC 267.
Known to easily fit himself across several weight divisions, Chimaev has very often taken to Twitter to callout a number of notable fighters.
More recently, he took to Twitter to issue a callout to the legendary Georges St-Pierre. Chimaev wrote on his Twitter account:
“New King of UFC vs a Legend. What you think? @GeorgesStPierre.”
It has been almost three years since GSP retired. The Canadian dominated the UFC in the late 2000s and the early 2010s.
Following a struggle with an ACL injury and ulcerative colitis his glorious career was crippled. With 26 wins and only 2 losses he is considered by many to be the greatest UFC fighter ever.
GSP held the welterweight and the middleweight belts at different points in his career.
Khamzat Chimaev calls out Brock Lesnar
Khamzat Chimaev also called out the largely-feared Brock Lesnar. ‘The Borz’ took to Twitter, and wrote:
“Let’s fight till one man leaves the cage @BrockLesnar.”
Like GSP, Lesnar is retired as well. His last fight was way back in 2016, and he is now a part of the WWE – a place where the legend that is, Lesnar, was born.
