Khamzat Chimaev vs Chris Weidman could be the next big fight for the UFC
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman has finally accepted a fight from Khamzat Chimaev.
Weidman had been called out by Borz a while back but the Swede revealed he had been snubbed by the former champion.
However, Weidman took to Twitter and wanted to humble Chimaev. The American added that he was willing to fight him in January and wanted the UFC to set this up.
Khamzat, for his part, is always looking for a fight and has openly stated he wants a fight sooner rather than later.
The January 2021 date wasn’t going down well with Borz and he lashed out at Weidman suggesting he should be ready to fight all the time.
“Whenever you want I will smash you. I don’t understand why you need so long time ? If u are a fighter you must always be ready”

Hunting for his next victim
Chimaev does seem desperate to smash someone soon. He has three UFC wins with all of them being finishes.
The 26-year-old is undefeated in his MMA career, and he is the next big thing in the UFC. It will be interesting to see who the next opponent for Chimaev actually is.
He has called out several stars across divisions but no one seems willing to take him on short notice.
Darren Till is another who is willing to face Chimaev, however, he too needs some time before getting into the Octagon.
Chimaev has always said that he will fight on short notice and is always looking for a clash. It seems he wants a fight next month or even in December and the UFC have hinted that he will headline an event.
It has been quite a meteoric rise for Chimaev and Ali Abdelaziz had a warning for those trying to avoid him now.
Chimaev has only been fighting for three years and seems to be the next big thing. The scary fact is that Chimaev will only improve with more fights under his belt, and that could be a problem for a lot of big names.
