Khamzat Chimaev is willing to go against the best for his next fight

Khamzat Chimaev is ready for the big time in the UFC and wants a big opponent in his next fight.

The 26-year-old impressed against Gerald Meerschaert and defeated the American with one punch.

Chimaev needed just 17 seconds to get the latest win of his short but eventful MMA career. The Swede is now 9-0 and has won all three of his UFC fights via decision.

Not only that, Chimaev has won all his UFC fights in the span of two months, which is incredible.

While Dana White has confirmed that Demian Maia is the next fight for Chimaev, the Swede wants some of the best in the UFC.

Chimaev has fought in two different divisions but listed out several Welterweight stars in a tweet that he wanted to fight.

While Kamaru Usman defends the title against Gilbert Burns next, Chimaev called out Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, Leon Edwards and Maia, to name a few:

Same face, same smash

Chimaev is also known for saying that he will smash opponents, and that is what he implied he would do to his next rival.

The Swede claimed that the UFC stars might have different faces but the result would be “smash”. As usual, he tagged White in the tweet, and this only adds more to his character in the UFC.

It will be interesting to see how he does against Maia. However, Chimaev isn’t all that far away from a title fight.

White seems to be in awe of his talent and has called the Swede “special”. Meerschaert was expected to be a real test for the Swede but the American was swept away easily.

Chimaev’s performances have been incredible, to be honest, and he seems destined for greatness.
