Khamzat Chimaev loves to use the word “smash” just like a superhero

Smash is the one word that would best describe Khamzat Chimaev and his actions in the Octagon.

The 26-year-old Swede has taken the UFC world by storm after winning his first three fights in record time.

All those wins came in the span of 66 days and Chimaev fought in two different divisions too. The Swede, who carries the nickname of Borz, is keen on returning to the Octagon and was speaking to the Schmo recently.

Many top stars have declined to fight Chimaev but the Swede has always stated that he just wants to smash opponents.

The Schmo asked Khamzat where he got the term from. “Smash” is a word made popular by the Incredible Hulk from the Marvel movies.

The Hulk doesn’t really have a game plan in the earlier movies and would just smash his way through his opponents.

The comic book star also said “Hulk smash” in one of the Marvel movies with many of the other superheroes asking him to do the same.

Chimaev confirmed that “smash” was taken from the Hulk and he picked it up from a move:

“I don’t know, it was movie in the Hulk, like they smash people, like that, I like this also.”

Ready for the big level

There have been talks of Chimaev possibly fighting Darren Till next. However, the Swede wasn’t sure if this fight would be done since Till is expected to fight in December already.

While Chimaev believed that he could take three fights in a month, he added that others need three months to prepare for one fight.

The Swede also brought up Till’s sense of humour but wasn’t sure of the British star’s abilities:

“This guy, funny guy, but he is not my level.”

Chimaev ended with a warning and claimed he could destroy anyone in the UFC:

“Because I know my level, because I know I can smash these guys. That is why I call out every body. Now everybody is scared.”
