Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev have kindered MMA’s most unlikely relationship, as the duo train together in Sweden
Darren Till is well on his path to redemption ever since the Liverpool native has been on a losing skid inside the octagon. He has lost four of his last five fights and wants to leave no stones unturned whenever he makes his Octagon return.
Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev have gone live together on social media platforms on several occasions, and during one such session ‘The Borz’ invited Till to come train with him. The wrestling pedigree of Chimaev is reputed by now and Till accepted his offer to train with him in November 2021.
In a video posted by TheMacLife, they were seen lifting weights and working out together. Chimaev even jokingly mocked Till saying, “Let’s go, fat boy” as he pushed ‘the Gorilla’.
Fans of combat sports were thrilled to see the comradery shared between the fighters given the fact Till is senior to Chimaev in terms of octagon experience. This also goes on to prove the credibility of the Borz’s skills, who is widely regarded as the greatest prospect the sport has seen in recent times.
As for Till, this is the exact revitalization and encouragement he needs before stepping inside the octagon. It will be interesting to see how much his ground game develops having trained with an esteemed wrestler and his camp now.
Khamzat Chimaev is confident that he’ll smash Gilbert Burns when they face each other
Khamzat Chimaev is soaring with confidence and raring to go as fans await fight news for the Borz. Gilbert Burns is the front runner in a growing list of potential opponents for Chimaev.
However, Chimaev believes that Burns does not pose a real challenge to him and he’s already looking past the Brazilian. He is envisioning a fight against the winner of Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington after he ‘smashes’ Burns.
In an interview RT Sport, Chimaev said:
“All those numbers mean nothing. To be honest, I don’t see a real challenge in him. We’ll see. Everything may happen in a fight, but I am confident as usual,” Chimaev told RT Sport in a recent interview “I think I will just smash him with my skills and power. I feel that way. He might feel different, but I will go there and do what I did the last time.”
Many have tipped multi-time jiu jitsu world champion Gilbert Burns to test the eminence of the hype surrounding Chimaev.
