Israel Adesanya mocked Khamzat Chimaev and his rat lip recently which caught the attention of the rising star

Israel Adesanya might have unleashed the Khamzat Chimaev beast after making a “rat lip” comment.

Adesanya, who will defend his UFC Middleweight title against Paulo Costa this weekend, was speaking to Yahoo Sport before the fight.

The Stylebender claimed he hadn’t seen Chimaev at all, despite the 9-0 star claiming it would be easy to fight Adesanya.

However, Adesanya then turned to his manager and spoke about the “rat lip”, a scar on Chimaev’s lip.

He also said that Chimaev was trying to cast his net but added he would watch the 26-year-old too.

Chimaev has been called out regarding his lip in the past by Conor McGregor, and the undefeated UFC star wasn’t happy with what Adesanya said:

“@stylebender what do you said about me it will cost you your belt if you’re still the champion Good luck”

Chimaev just wants to fight

The 26-year-old has been called by special by Dana White and Chimaev has called out several stars in the UFC already.

His most recent call outs have been to Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Demian Maia. White had confirmed that Chimaev would fight Maia once he was done with Gerald Meerschaert,

Chimaev easily defeated Meerschaert and won the fight in 17 seconds. This was his third UFC win in the span of just 66 days and it seems he wants more fights before the end of 2020.

Adesanya has bigger fish to fry ahead of his title defence. However, Chimaev facing off against Adesanya cannot be ruled out if the 26-year-old keeps on winning.

The champ is right in saying that Chimaev is casting his net in hopes of getting a fight, but the Stylebender is the champion for a reason and could get the better of Chimaev.
