Laura Sanko had a hilarious answer when she was asked which fighter smelled the best in interviews

There are a lot of fighters, commentators and broadcasters must interview especially during a fight night. Not anyone who is coming off a fight would smell pleasant. Mixed with blood and sweat the entire air in the vicinity would be musty.

Former women’s fighter Laura Sanko, who is now a commentator at UFC on ESPN, shared a hilarious little story about the smell of fighters during her interviews.

In an ask me anything session on Instagram stories, Sanko was tasked with answering a rather amusing question – who was the best smelling fighter she has ever interviewed?

While Sanko did say that there was not a single fighter who smelled great after a fight, she however claimed that the smell of blood and sweat never bothered her at all.

She then continued her answer saying that women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko smelled lovely that night at UFC 261, after her fight. She was also amazed at, how perfect Shevchenko was.

Shevchenko re-shared the story to her Instagram with a couple of smiling emojis.

Valentina Shevchenko was just splendid during UFC 261

Shevchenko had no trouble seeing off Jessica Andrade at UFC 261, as she defended her flyweight belt for the fifth successive time.

She executed a whopping 7 takedowns in just 1 and a half rounds, as she won by TKO in the second round.

The Kyrgyzstani thereby has just breezed past everyone else in the UFC, barring one – Amanda Nunes. The pair have already met twice and the Lioness has emerged victorious in both occasions.

Hence, a trilogy bout between the two has largely been discussed in the recent days. But before that, Nunes has to defend her title against Julianna Pena at UFC 265.
