Leon Edwards has been looking for his next UFC fight and wants to face Colby Covington

UFC star Leon Edwards is still looking for his next fight but might have found the right opponent.

Rocky is the one who has lost out the most while he was stuck in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.

He was to face Tyron Woodley and possibly take on Kamaru Usman after that. However, Gilbert Burns replaced him and defeated Woodley to get a match against the champion, Usman.

Further, Woodley recently was in a fight against Colby Covington and he lost that too. Rocky, for his part, is still looking for another fight and called out Covington.

The American calls himself the villain of the UFC and is someone who supports Donald Trump. Covington has been called out by several UFC stars for some controversial comments he makes, but he was excellent against Woodley.

The American also met Trump before the fight and got a call from the US President after winning the clash.

Racist scumbag

Edwards has been upset for a while as fights haven’t been coming to him. However, he wasn’t best pleased with all that Covington had to say after the win.

Rocky called out the former interim UFC champion and blasted away:

“Dont worry I’ll take out the racist scumbag, December. Let’s see if @ColbyCovMMA joins the ‘I won’t fight Leon club’ and goes running like the rest of them”

Edwards has claimed that many UFC stars haven’t stepped up to face him and avoided him too. It is a little weird that Edwards cannot get a fight despite being on an eight-fight win streak.

He defeated Rafael Dos Anjos in July 2019 and hasn’t been in the Octagon since. It will be interesting to see if the UFC does set this fight up.

Covington needs another win to get back to title contention, while Edwards could also be in the title scene with another win.

He lost out the most during the coronavirus pandemic, and hopefully, he does have a chance to show off his skills soon.
