Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman is the next fight at the top of the Welterweight division
UFC London was an incredible event with many top fights taking place across the main and prelim cards.
The fans were in full force and were treated to some incredible finishes by the British fighters. However, Dana White thought that one fight was missing from the London card, and that was a huge Welterweight clash.
White, while speaking after the event, suggested that Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman would have been incredible here.
Edwards, who lives in England, is the next challenger for Usman’s Welterweight crown. Rocky reacted to the UFC President’s comments and claimed that he wanted to fight Usman in the United Kingdom.
White has suggested that he is keen on doing more events in the UK. This latest event certainly worked a treat and it will be interesting to see when the UFC makes a trip across the shores to Europe, again.
Can Leon Edwards dethrone Kamaru Usman?
Edwards is undefeated in his last 10 UFC fights and is the next challenger for The Nigerian Nightmare. No one has been able to beat Usman since he made his UFC debut, and the champion has vanquished all challengers in front of him.
He has defeated Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal twice recently, and well, he is the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC.
This will be Edwards’ second crack at Usman. The British star fought Usman back in 2015 and was on the end of the unanimous decision loss.
Edwards has improved a lot in his last 10 outings, and it will be interesting to see how this bout goes. Usman is fighting on another level, and Edwards has to take his game to another level if he wants to claim the Welterweight title.
