Famed podcaster Joe Rogan reacted to the news of Elon Musk buying out Twitter, which shocked the world
Elon Musk shocked the world when he made a whopping $43 billion bid to buy out Twitter. The founder, CEO and chief engineer at SpaceX has been an advocate of free speech, and seriously condemns censorship.
The products architect of Tesla has made an appearance on the world-famous JRE podcast hosted by Joe Rogan thrice, and it has been one of the most successful podcast episodes ever recorded. His very first appearance on the comedian’s podcast came back on September 7, 2018. The appearance was the most viewed episode of JRE to date, with a total of 54 million watching and listening to it.
Joe Rogan has developed a good relationship with Elon Musk over the years, and recently spoke with Duncan Trussel, about how much the Tesla CEO truly cares about censorship. He said, “I think he does care. He does, genuinely. He’s concerned about censorship. He said freedom of speech is someone you don’t like saying something you don’t wanna hear. He goes, ‘They have to have that right because it’s essential to a democracy.’ Most people objectively agree. The problem is they get scared because they see how mobs of people can move in a very negative direction. I think there’s a real concern.”
Reacting to this news through an Instagram post Rogan said, ‘LET’S FUC…. GOOOOO’
“I want to see him get a giant payday” – Joe Rogan is sold on the idea of a super fight between Kamaru Usman and Canelo
Kamaru Usman has some elaborate plans for 2022, after he comes back from his latest hand surgery. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has identified a prospective fight outside the UFC roaster in boxing P4P king, Canelo Alvarez.
Kamaru Usman was last seen inside the octagon at UFC 268, scoring a second victory against Colby Covington. Speaking to TMZ Sports, Usman said that he’s aiming at a July rematch against top-ranked Leon Edwards, and a September boxing super-fight against Canelo Alvarez.
Popular comedian, podcaster and martial arts enthusiast Joe Rogan made an appearance on the ‘Hotboxin’ podcast with Mike Tyson, and weighed in on Usman’s case. He said that even if Usman cannot beat Canelo, the experience of stepping into a new world will be invaluable for him.
“I would like to see him fight Canelo, I really would,” Rogan said (via MMAFighting). “Not because I think that he’s a favorite in a boxing match against one of the greatest boxers of all-time, but I want to see him get a giant payday. The same way I would like to see [Francis] Ngannou fight Tyson Fury. That’s a way you can make a s—t-load of money, and I don’t think it damages his potential as a UFC fighter. I think it would be invaluable experience for him, as a champion, if he did have that fight and then came back over to MMA. I think he’d probably be even better as a striker if he gets through it relatively undamaged, even if he loses.”
