Jorge Masvidal has an inspirational story regarding his career in MMA
UFC BMF champion Jorge Masvidal doesn’t mince his words when it comes to how hard life is.
The 35-year-old fought in backyards and even slept in his car as he tried to make a name in the MMA scene.
Masvidal is now one of the top stars in the UFC, but it wasn’t always like that. He was speaking on the Halfcast Podcast and provided some fun answers too.
The UFC star was asked what was the incident that helped him believe he was going to achieve his goals.
This was part of a series the podcasters were doing to inspire all those youngsters trying to make it big in a competitive world:
“On the street fighting, I knew that was just temporary, I remember sleeping in my car for many periods and different periods.
“I always knew that that was just current, it was just for the time being. I am going to get out of here and be on my hands.
“It was just a matter of time and that was something I always knew. No matter what would happen.”
Masvidal also had some sage advice regarding what life is all about:
“Anybody listening, I will say the same ****. Life is a fight. Even if you are not a fighter, life is a fight.”
Masvidal has been linked with a huge fight against Kamaru Usman, and July seems to be the pencilled date:
“We haven’t finalised the deal but its finally going to be an international fight in July.”
Masvidal claimed that he was excited at facing Usman and even laughed when a fan claimed he would punch the Nigerian so hard that his hair would come back.
Masvidal even decided to joke about it and said:
“One of the miracles of street Jesus.”
Usman and Masvidal almost came to blows at an NFL event a few months ago, and it will be interesting to see how that fight goes in the Octagon.
