YouTuber Logan Paul and boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr will be clashing in an exhibition clash
UFC referee Marc Goddard was one of the several people who got caught up in the hype for an exhibition boxing match.
While we have seen Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr take part in a similar battle a week or so back, this one sees the great Floyd Mayweather Jr take on a YouTuber.
Logan Paul, who is 0-1 in his amateur boxing career, seems keen on getting more traction for his fighting career.
Taking on Mayweather Jr is a huge task but this being an exhibition clash should keep him safe from knockouts.
Mayweather is regarded as one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport and hasn’t lost any of his professional fights.
However, Goddard wasn’t all that happy with this match up being made. He wasn’t sure why one of the greatest ever wanted to get into the ring with Paul and had some other big questions too:
Mayweather v Logan Paul, I understand why this can piss a LOT of people off. Why does arguably the greatest boxer thats ever lived “need” to do this? I get the publicity, financial gains etc but in what other sports can a novice step in with a GOAT? Is it a good look for boxing?

Goddard gets the idea
Many replies on this tweet explained that this was a way to make money and for both ‘boxers’ to be in the limelight.
Mayweather doesn’t really have to prove anything to anyone after dominating boxing while Paul is someone who thrives on being entertaining.
Taking on someone as big as Mayweather will not only be a huge pay day but also get a lot of people talking.
Interesting debate & replies on Mayweather v Logan Paul. It’s got boat loads talking about it, including me so aim achieved I guess! There’s far worse things that go on in combat sports week in week out. This is at least heavily regulated. I understand the emotions either way!

Goddard also brought up some things which are worse in combat sports and he could have been referring to a crazy MMA fight that took place in Russia between an overweight man and a woman.
Exhibition matches seem to be the crazy now as Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor had also brought it up recently.
They wanted to do an exhibition MMA battle but the UFC worked quickly and ensured the two greats meet in the Octagon in 2021.
Mayweather and McGregor had also met in a boxing match a few years back, and it was the boxer who knocked out the former UFC Champion.
