Paddy Pimblett did not take kindly to his account being deleted previously in the past, and lashed out at the founder of Facebook and Meta platforms
Paddy Pimblett will star in a feature bout at UFC London this Saturday. The hometown beloved spoke to the media ahead of his fight, and shed some light upon his predictions for Saturday and weight cutting process.
Paddy has a reputation of being too unvarnished and upfront, especially while speaking his mind on social media. This has put him in a jam several times in the past, and his account has been deleted on various occasions.
Pimblett gets really irked when he comes across cyber-bullying and harsh comments. His account has been blocked several times because he confronted the bullies, and he spoke candidly about this subject.
“I don’t even care that people say stuff about me, say stuff about me all you want, but not about a three year old child that’s fighting for his life. I can’t sit there and let someone talk about that.”
Pimblett went on to reveal that he is supporting several fans who are suffering from mental health – also taking a dig at “I have a pain on my shoulders, thinking, I can’t message them back today, are they still going to be here? If they’re not, it’s Instagram’s fault, because I’d still be speaking to them every day, but I can’t, and then obviously they’re messing with my livelihood, I’m losing out on thousands and thousands of pounds. It’s just one of those things though. They can do whatever they want. Mark Zuckerberg’s the biggest bully on the planet.”
He continued his harangue and targeted Instagram by saying, “They [Instagram] don’t give a f*ck. They message you back saying ‘you’ve had your account took for bullying and harassment, you’ve had so many violations.’ Well show me all the violations then,” Pimblett demanded. “I want to see every violation. But yet every violation is defending myself, and if you look at it with context, every one of them I have a reason to do it. I don’t just go out of my way to say stuff about people. I don’t need to.”
UFC London will feature the return of the crowd favorite Paddy Pimblett, who took the MMA world by storm in his debut. Ahead of the fight Paddy sat down with the media to discuss his upcoming bout against Rodrigo Vargas and even detailed his brawl encounter with Ilia Topuria.
Pimblett walks around heavy at 195 lbs. when he’s not fighting, and he was asked about his weight-cutting process ahead of his fight. The response was frightening when Paddy said,
” I used to absolutely kill myself to make 145.. I was 0.2 kilos [0.44 pounds] away from acute kidney failure, and one kilo [2.2 pounds] of water weight away from dying”
This is to a fault alarming to think about the pain these fighters go through while cutting weight, instead of fighting in their natural weight class.
