Former UFC fighters Markus Perez and Marcus Brimage earn decision victories in the newly formed Pillow Fight Championship
The combat sports landscape is on an all-time surge in terms of innovation and conceptualization. The latest format that has piqued everyone’s curiosity is the Pillow Fight Championship.
Conceived to be “the world’s most exciting new combat sport,” Pillow Fight Championship features combatants using a specially refashioned pillow. Former UFC fighters Markus Perez and Marcus Brimage participated in the event and emerged victorious through decisions.
The event has managed to grab some eyeballs and is a fun new take on the dynamic fight scene. Although some might find it gimmicky many have embraced this childhood fun recreation turned league.
Markus Perez was released by the UFC in February 2021
Markus Perez made his UFC debut on the 9th of December, 2017. He made his debut against Eryk Anders and started off with a unanimous decision loss.

He was released from the promotion on the 4th of February, 2021. Since then, Perez has fought in Cage Warriors and Thunder Fight. His last fight was against Filipe Moitinho on the 19th of December, 2021 at Thunder Fight 33. He earned a first-round submission win by means of a guillotine choke.
