Chris Weidman wants a piece of Israel Adesanya but Marvin Vettori shot back at the American
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman set the internet on fire by comparing a couple of his wins to Israel Adesanya.
Adesanya is the undefeated Middleweight champion and recently destroyed Paulo Costa, something he predicted would happen.
The Last Stylebender has been on a rampage on Twitter by sharing memes and updates about him and other rivals.
He has hit back at Jon Jones and Costa, with the pair firing back at him. However, Weidman won the Middleweight title in 2013 and compared his wins over Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum.
Heyyy I just realized I have 2 common opponents with Adesanya…Gastelum who I finished. Then Silva who I finished twice. Adesanya squeaked by decisions on both of those guys.. Adesanya is just another Silva without the black belt in Jitsu. Easy 💴

The wins over Silva put Weidman into another level. However, the American lost his belt to Luke Rockhold and was on a three-fight losing streak before getting the W over Gastelum.
Weidman then lost a couple of other fights before getting a win over Omari Akhmedov.
While Adesanya has shot back at his rival, there seems to be someone else waiting in the wings.
Jumping in two-footed
Marvin Vettori, for his part, has called out both Adesanya and Weidman in recent times. The Italian Dream is on a three-fight win-streak but hasn’t fought since defeating Karl Roberson.
Vettori has been left upset over the lack of rivals and expected to get a match with Weidman, but the former champion brushed him away.
Vettori also was the closest to defeating Adesanya as the decision was a split win for the New Zealand-Nigerian champion.
That was something he harped on as he unleashed on Weidman:
“Hiding when I was hunting, I get a fight and now trying to fight adesanya? Delusional! If anything the only person who beats adesanya was and will be me so you should have signed the contract”
Look at what you’ve become! Scared old dog that tries to pick and choose his opponents.

Vettori was one of the first MMA stars to call out Izzy after the win over Costa. However, there has been no response from the champions end so far.
Vettori will fight at UFC 256 against Akhmedov, and a win could see the 27-year-old get back into title contention for sure.
