Marvin Vettori has been looking for a UFC fight and could go against Impa Kasanganay

The Italian Dream, Marvin Vettori, might have finally found a rival to face in Impa Kasanganay.

Vettori, who is on a three-fight win streak, has called out the UFC for not giving him another fight.

The 26-year-old Middleweight last face Karl Roberson in June 2020 and has been hunting for another clash.

However, things just aren’t clicking for the Italian. He called out Chris Weidman but that didn’t lead to anywhere. Vettori also highlighted how he was to face a top 10 fighter but that got cancelled as soon as he accepted this.

Things could be looking up for the 15-4-1 Middleweight star. Rising UFC star Impa Kasanganay got hold of some of Vettori’s call outs and accepted a fight.

Kasanganay has been impressive in his MMA career and is 8-0. He won his debut UFC fight against Maki Pitolo a few days back and got a UFC contract after winning in the Contender Series.

Vettori seemed to accept this call out but warned Kasanganay that he could be in a world of pain.

Big chance for both to impress

Vettori has been on fire since losing to Israel Adesanya in 2018. However, it was a bit of a surprise why he couldn’t get a fight for all this time.

Vettori was one of the few UFC stars wanting to fight during this pandemic, and it will be interesting to see if the UFC matchmakers accept this bout.

Of course, the pressure would be on Vettori in trying to defeat the rising Kasanganay. Vettori is trying to crack into the top 10 and a win over Impa would be a boost for that.

However, should Kasanganay get the win, the rising UFC star could get ranked and continue his dream start in the UFC.
