Marvin Vettori hits out at “lying b****” Israel Adesanya after comparison with Kelvin Gastelum

Israel Adesanya compared the behaviours of Marvin Vettori and Kelvin Gastelum after their losses and the Italian wasn’t happy one bit

Marvin Vettori continued his war of words with UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya.

The Italian Dream believes Adesanya has been avoiding him for a rematch after he lost to the champion.

This took place in 2018 and is Vettori’s last loss in the UFC. The 27-year-old is on a three-fight win streak and is confident of winning the Middleweight title next year too.

While his call-outs to other UFC stars and Adesanya have fallen on deaf ears, Adesanya compared this loss to the one against Vettori’s teammate Gastelum.

While Adesanya won both fights, he suggested that the behaviour of Vettori was clingy since he knew he couldn’t beat Izzy.

Gastelum might have lost via a unanimous decision but Adesanya claimed it was a close fight and he believed that Gastelum was keeping shut and working hard to get back to the top.

However, Vettori has a different take on when the pair met after the fight and called Izzy a liar.

Ready for a show

Vettori also shared a few retweets which claimed that Adesanya said something else behind the camera and was acting fake in-front of it.

The Italian Dream is to fight Omari Akhmedov at UFC 256 and promised to show how hard he has worked to get here.

He also suggested that Adesanya was given special treatment and would destroy the champion when they meet next.

Adesanya won a split decision against Vettori when the pair did meet, and the champ suggested that Vettori could have won the third round.

This comparison between teammates came up when Adesanya was asked if a rematch would ever take place against Paulo Costa.

Izzy claimed that Costa would have to decide which route to go, the Vettori way or the Gastelum way.

Vettori does seem fired up and a clash against Adesanya would be great. However, the Italian first has to beat Akhmedov and pick up a few wins more before getting a crack at the champion.
