Marvin Vettori still has his sights set on a trilogy fight with the ‘Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya
Marvin Vettori is determined to get the middleweight title. ‘The Italian Dream’ took on Israel Adesanya in a rematch at UFC 263, and was easily outstruck by the Nigerian-born-New Zealander.
Having made his debut in 2016, Vettori has lost three fights, and two of them have been against Adesanya.
More recently, former UFC fighter and current commentator Michael Bisping, in his podcast, claimed that Vettori would have been the MW champion if not for Izzy.
Showing his appreciation for Bisping, Vettori took a vow that he would dethrone ‘PED user’ Adesanya very soon.
Vettori’s Tweet read:
“Appreciate it @bisping Im still gonna show you I will dethrone this PED user very soon.”
Vettori referring to Adesanya as PED user stems from Adesanya’s right-pec gyno at UFC 253 during his fight against Paulo Costa.
Rising middleweight Sean Strickland hits out at Israel Adesanya
Number 7 ranked UFC middleweight Sean Strickland clarified his stance of fighting for the title. Hitting out at Adesanya’s gyno (at UFC 253), Strickland had choice words for the champ.
Strickland told the Schmo:
“Izzy f***** starched [Derek] Brunson. Obviously, I want the title fight you know? I’ll bring Izzy a f***** bra. I hope he is f***** cycled off correctly. His f***** titty’s not down to here (pointing to the ground). But, I would like to title fight Izzy. So, do me a favour man, call me out bro. Let’s go anime. (Telling ‘The Schmo’) Anime, f***** gay right?”
