UFC star Marvin Vettori has been left frustrated with no one wanting to fight him
The Italian Dream, Marvin Vettori, took to social media again as he voiced his frustrations with the UFC.
The 26-year-old is on a three-fight win streak but hasn’t been able to get another opponent. His last fight was against Karl Roberson in June 2020, and he has been looking for another rival ever since.
Vettori is one of the most talented stars in the Middleweight division and is currently 15-4-1 in his MMA career.
The Italian claimed that many fighters were being handed whatever they wanted and did not work hard enough.
He also lashed out at the UFC and its fighters since he was hungry for another fight but no one was stepping up:
Vettori had opened up on his UFC career and the fact that another fight was set up against a top 10 opponent.
This was on short notice but Vettori had accepted the fight, all while he was on a plane. However, the UFC called back a few minutes later and confirmed that the fight had been cancelled.
He has even called out former champion Chris Weidman but he isn’t keen on facing Vettori. The Italian needs to get some wins if he is to break into the top 10, however, that is impossible if no one is stepping up to face him.
Vettori is only 26 and has a bright future ahead of him, but that will be a moot point unless he gets to face quality opponents in the UFC.
Hopefully, the Italian does get a fight soon and he can show off his skills in the Octagon. There are several cards coming up and there is a chance that Vettori features in one of them.
