Marvin Vettori seems to be in the mood for another fight and called out a UFC star for the Undisputed European title
The Italian Dream, Marvin Vettori, got a huge boost in the UFC rankings after he defeated Jack Hermansson last week.
Vettori came into this clash just in the top 15 but shot up to #5 after his win over Hermansson. However, the Italian is still hungry for more and called out former Middleweight contender Paulo Costa.
Vettori has always claimed that he was close to defeating Israel Adesanya a few years back and wants a crack at the title.
He still needs another win or two over a top contender, but Vettori also his eyes on a title. The Italian was upset with Darren Till moving up the UFC rankings despite not fighting.
The British star picked up an injury and was ruled out of a UFC event. Vettori stepped up and called out the UFC for this weird rankings system but he also wants a piece of Till.
The Italian posted a Twitter update about fighting the British star for the Undisputed European title and even tagged the UFC and Mick Maynard.
Another BMF title in the works?
The UFC has titles for all their divisions but they have made one-off title bouts too. Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz clashed for the BMF (Baddest Mother******) belt and it was Gamebred who won.
Diaz couldn’t continue the fight due to an injury and Masvidal was left to celebrate. Gamebred has carried that title with pride, though he has never defended it after this one fight.
However, the UFC adding a European belt just for the pair could be fun. There are many Europeans in the promotion too and this could be a fun way to find the toughest star from the continent.
Of course, the problems regarding divisions comes up in all this but Vettori vs Till could be a fight for a future shot at the Middleweight title.
