UFC star Marvin Vettori wants to be his country’s first The Ultimate Fighter coach
The Ultimate Fighter might be one of the greatest reality shows ever and UFC star Marvin Vettori wants to feature on it.
The Italian Stallion was in action at UFC Fight Night: Eye vs Calvillo. Vettori impressed against Karl Roberson and even celebrated wildly post the fight..
The 26-year-old wants to be the first Italian coach on The Ultimate Fighter and even tagged a couple of accounts.
“I wanna be the first Italian coach of the TUF one day”
Vettori tagged Mick Maynard, who is one of the senior executives in the UFC and also Ali Abdelaziz.
Abdelaziz is the manager of several top fighters in the promotion, while Vettori also tagged the UFC handle in his tweet.
The Ultimate Fighter has seen several of the biggest names take up the coaching role as many youngsters try to get a break in the promotion.
Chuck Liddell, Frank Mir, Chael Sonnen, Randy Couture, Michael Bisping, Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre, Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic are just some of the big stars to have taken up that role.
The coaches also have to fight each other come the end of the show, and that has been one of the USPs.
Vettori wants to be the first Italian coach to take on the role and that would be historic.
The Italian Stallion picked up the win over Roberson via a rear-naked choke and is now on a three-fight win streak.
The 26-year-old has an MMA record of 15 wins four losses and one draw in his career. Vettori has already faced current Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya a while back but lost the clash in 2018.
He could be in the running for another fight soon, and it will be interesting to see if he gets to challenge the champion.
