Matt Brown lost to Carlos Condit at Fight Island 7 and ripped into the UFC judges
The co-main event of the latest UFC Fight Island card saw two veterans slug it off.
It was Matt Brown taking on Carlos Condit and the fight went the distance. Both stars have it their all but there was a bit of controversy in the end.
The judges handed a unanimous win to Condit, and that upset Brown. What was a little weird was that all the judges also scored the fight 30-27 and the reaction of Brown after the battle was there for all to see.
This enraged the UFC veteran and he blasted the judges. He claimed that the first round was lost by Condit but the second one was a loss for him.
Brown thought he won the third round but he admitted it would have been fine if the decision was based on the third round alone.
He did thank all the fans for their support and believed he was improving with each fight under his belt.
This was Brown’s second loss in a row and he now holds a record of 22 wins and 18 losses.
Lots of praise for one star
Brown was also in awe of Max Holloway after the main event took place. The former Featherweight Champion put on a show as he dismantled Calvin Kattar over five rounds.
Holloway put himself back in the race for the title and also broke several records in the win over Kattar.
This was one of the best performances ever by a UFC star and it will be interesting to see how he does in the title shot.
