Conor McGregor has one fight in his career as a professional boxer
It looks like Conor McGregor is back to being at his trash-talking best. The Irishman who will be taking on Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, next weekend, wasn’t in his element during the last time he faced ‘The Diamond’.
Many believe that it was McGregor’s ‘humble nature’ that cost him the fight against Poirier in the rematch at UFC 257.
A fortnight ago, McGregor had posted a cryptic tweet claiming that the one to shoot (for the takedown) first would be a ‘b****.’
Following McGregor’s tweet, Poirier responded to it in a recent interview with Brett Okamoto of ESPN. ‘The Diamond’ mentioned that he sniffed ‘insecurity’ in McGregor’s comments
“How about the first one to get taken down is a dusty b****? This is mixed martial arts. Put it all together. It reeks of insecurity to me.“
Following Poirier’s response, McGregor hit back with another tweet, writing:
“Best boxer, my ass! Shooting ass, shelling ass bitch.”
Max Holloway just wouldn’t keep quiet when he hears the words boxer or boxing
Number 1 ranked UFC featherweight Max Holloway is the self-proclaimed best boxer in the UFC. But he does live up to the billing of being the self-proclaimed best boxer.
Following McGregor’s response, Holloway asked McGregor cheekily if he was mentioning him, since the “best boxer” comment irked him.
Holloway wrote: “Sup bro you rang?”
Holloway is indeed a well accomplished striker in the UFC. However, he has never beaten both McGregor and Poirier. He has fought the pair thrice, and has lost all three times. Once to McGregor in 2013 and twice against Poirier.
