Joseph Benavidez is a former UFC star and the husband of Megan Olivi
UFC reporter Megan Olivi certainly had a busy day as she celebrated her husband’s birthday.
Olivi, who features on some of the biggest UFC cards and has interviewed many UFC legends, is also married to an MMA star.
Joseph Benavidez, who fought for the UFC Flyweight title, is married to Olivi. The 38-year-old Benavidez married in 2015 and the pair have been going strong.
Olivi recently posted a loving message on social media. It was her husband’s birthday, and the UFC reporter had a lot of great things to say about her partner.
Olivi brought up how “hilarious” Benavidez is. She also added that her husband was able to light up any room he was in and would find fun in any situation.
Olivi ended by thanking God for giving her Benavidez before adding that he was “hot.”
Benavidez was also quick to respond to the message and he added that he was the luckiest guy alive to have Olivi by his side.
How did Megan Olivi and Joseph Benavidez meet?
The pair are one of the most popular MMA couples in the world, and their meeting story is also something to bring up.
While speaking to Renee Paquette a few years back, Olivi shared how she met her future husband.
It was in 2009 and she was with some friends. She saw Benavidez with some other fighters and the two groups decided to go off to celebrate a bit.
Olivi also brought up a rather interesting way of how they fell in love. She told Paquette that Benavidez and herself were busy quoting comedian Will Ferrell. She added that her husband was sober while she was just 22 and “having fun.”
Olivi further brought out how the pair grew close to each other despite being in different cities.
Skype and phone calls were the way to keep the relationship going, and the pair have been going strong ever since.
