Jon Jones is one of the greatest UFC stars of all-time and Merab Dvalishvili thanked the star

Merab Dvalishvili seems to be learning from the best as he aims for UFC glory.

The 29-year-old Georgian holds a 12-4 record in the UFC and has won his last five fights. Dvalishvili is also one of the most exciting fighters having won all his last five fights via unanimous decision.

While the Georgian has been busy training, he doesn’t have an opponent yet. Dvalishvili defeated John Dodson in impressive fashion at UFC 252 and was out working again.

Dvalishvili was working out with one of the best in the business, Jon Jones, and the thanked the legend for parting off some knowledge.

Preparing for the next level?

Jones is considered as one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time and it was a bit surprising he was spending time training some other stars.

Jones has spoken about moving up a weight class in the past and it will be interesting to see who he faces next.

The former Lightheavyweight champion vacated his UFC title to move to the Heavyweight division. He wants to face Stipe Miocic for the crown but Francis Ngannou also wants a crack at the champion.

Dvalishvili, for his part, had spoken earlier about Aljamain Sterling and how great the Funk Master is.

The Georgian believes that Aljo would get the better of Petr Yan, but he wasn’t keen on facing his friend.

Dvalishvili also claimed that Aljo would defeat him easily, and he would rather move to another division than fight against Sterling for the title.

The Georgian certainly is one of the most likeable fighters in the UFC. Hopefully, he does get a crack at UFC gold and he doesn’t have to face his friend to do that.
