Michael Bisping sounded worried speaking about Tony Ferguson losing three fights in a row
Tony Ferguson had a night to forget at UFC 262. He took on Beneil Dariush in the co-main event, and was completely mauled, losing each and every round convincingly.
It was his third loss in a row. He is winless in 2020 and 2021. Hiring Freddie Roach as his coach didn’t pay off. He is out of the top 5 in the lightweight rankings. It is all going south for ‘El Cucuy’.
UFC Hall of Famer and commentator Michael Bisping expressed his concern for the fallen hero, in an interview with BT Sport. He claimed that Ferguson’s one last quest for the lightweight title was all but over.
In the interview with BT Sport, ‘The Count’ sound particularly dejected when speaking about ‘El Cucuy’.
Bisping was quoted as saying:
“At the end, when we saw the look in Tony Ferguson’s eyes, he just looked lost. I feel that was the look of a man that was starting to realize, his championship aspirations are gone…It’s a sad day. It’s a sad day for the UFC and a lot of UFC fans…Title aspirations, Tony – that is a thing of the past.”
