The face of Michael Chandler was destroyed by Justin Gaethje at UFC 268

UFC 268 started with a bang as the main card featured two of the biggest hitters in the world, Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje.

The pair came into this fight knowing that a win for either of them would lead to a championship clash in the UFC Lightweight division.

Both were coming off losses in championship fights before this, however, there was no caution from either of them as the clash started.

It was a crazy affair and fought at breakneck speed. Chandler seemed to have the advantage in the first round but Gaethje collected himself and knocked Chandler down once in the second.

However, he was unable to get the finish, but he did a ton of damage to Chandler’s face.

Chandler’s face wasn’t the only thing that was left a mess as his left leg was also attacked several times by Gaethje, and it was a miracle that both men were standing after the first two rounds.

The punches and kicks to Chandler seemed to start his berserker mode, and he tried everything in the book to get the better of The Highlight.

Chandler was willing to take straight shots to the face in the final round and was walking into the line of fire.

Gaethje just could not put the man down, and this was a fight for the ages. In the end it was Gaethje that got the win but Chandler picked up some brownie points for taking all these shots to the face and leg.

There was a ton of respect between the two stars, and it will be interesting to see what is next for Gaethje.
