Michael Chandler claimed one of Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor would be an easier fight
Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have had two absolute crazy fights in the past and there have been rumours of a trilogy too.
The score is 1-1 between the pair but there is no doubt they are two of the toughest names in the MMA world.
Diaz and McGregor, however, are both coming off different losses in their last fights. Diaz was beaten by Leon Edwards in his return fight while McGregor broke his ankle in his third clash with Dustin Poirier.
McGregor and Diaz fought each other in the Welterweight division. However, McGregor has been trying his luck in the Lightweight one in hopes of getting the title.
Michael Chandler, the former Bellator champion, had his shot at the gold but lost it to Charles Oliveira at UFC 262.
Chandler was knocked out by Oliveira and is now on the path to return to the UFC. The American took some time off for a Twitter Q+A and was asked which was the easier fight, McGregor or Diaz.
Chandler called out Diaz being the easier fight despite McGregor being on a two-fight losing streak:
The American also spoke about when he was going to return to action. The loss to Oliveira was his first in the UFC after an impressive KO win over Dan Hooker.
Chandler claimed that he was looking at a November 6 date for a return.
This would be almost six months since he lost to Oliveira and it will be interesting to see who he faces in his next outing.
Chandler isn’t out of the title scene yet but he needs to pick up a few wins to be in contention again.
