Michael Chandler shared with the world the news of newborn adopted son Ace ahead of his much-anticipated clash against Tony Ferguson
UFC lightweight Michael Chandler won the internet’s heart after his valorous display in a 3 round war against Justin Gaethje. The ever charismatic personality also broke the internet when a video of him interacting with his adopted son, post that fight, melted everyone’s heart.
Chandler used to be the face of Bellator for years before signing with the UFC and shocked the fans by knocking out Dan Hooker in the first round. He’s since been on the losing end of two back-to-back Fight of the Year contenders and will b looking forward to securing another win when he steps back into the Octagon at UFC 274 against Tony Ferguson.
He already has an adopted son and welcomed his newborn son Ace to their family through an Instagram post in which he said, “So blessed to add another son to the Chandler family. Ace Chandler was born April 19th. The blessings of adoption have enriched our lives more than we ever thought possible,” he wrote on Instagram. “@briechandler has had adoption on her heart for over 2 decades and after our son Hap, we knew we’d do it again. So many people have said we have given such a gift to these young men, but to us, it’s always felt like the exact opposite…we feel like we have won the lottery every single day.”
Former interim champion Justin Gaethje has been given a second chance to get his hands on the coveted UFC gold against Charles Oliveira at UFC 274. However, his last opponent in a recent interview has picked the Brazilian to defend his throne.
This pick in particular is quite interesting as Michael Chandler seems to be the perfect person to make the call, having clashed against both the fighters in thrilling fights.
