UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa has an interesting take on who John Cena should be facing in his retirement match.
John Cena is without a doubt, the face of modern WWE. He has made a truckload of young fans tune in to WWE due to his sprightly aura and personality.
However, of late the Doctor of Thuganomics has been making only sporadic appearances in the WWE, thanks to his successful acting career and probably his age. His last legit appearance in the WWE was at Wresltemania 36 when he took on ‘The Fiend’ in a Firefly Funhouse Match.
Besides that, Cena is also the host of the popular game show Wipeout. Therefore, it is safe to say that the 43-year old is ‘semi-retired’ and might be at the twilight of his WWE career.
Amidst this, number 7 ranked UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa has revealed who he thinks Cena should face in his retirement match.
Wrestling page WrestlePurists had initially come up with the question of ‘against whom should the WWE Legend’s retirement be’?
The Maverick felt that ‘The Prototype’ should be taking on UFC’s own wrestler and former heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
He tweeted that Cena should be fighting DC at Wrestlemania next year.
Though Chiesa’s tweet has only a few interactions as of now, the people in his reply section also felt that it was a good idea.
As for Chiesa, he has been on an impressive four-match win streak, after recently defeating Neil Magny in January at UFC on ESPN.
Cena is all to set to play the main antagonist in the latest installation of the famed ‘Fast and Furious’ movie series. He will we playing the role of Jakob Toretto, brother of Dominic Toretto played by Vin Diesel.
The movie is all set to hit the theaters in June, later this year.
And the latest installation of Wipeout that he is hosting is turning out to be a massive hit as well.
He recently took to Twitter for thanking the fans who tuned in since it has been the number 1 show in the US for two weeks in a row.
