Michael Chiesa wants UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya to take on unorthodox Bellator rival

Israel Adesanya is considered as one of the best UFC fighters from the current roster

UFC star Michael Chiesa seems to have a crazy opponent lined up for Israel Adesanya. However, the fighter being talked about isn’t in the UFC.

Chiesa has been taking part in several Q+A sessions on Twitter, and a fan asked which cross-promotional fight he wanted to see.

Chiesa named Israel Adesanya from the UFC and he wanted the Stylebender to face off against a Bellator fighter.

MVP was the answer from Chiesa, and Michael Page certainly has a decent record in his MMA career. The 33-year-old British star has a record of 17 wins and one loss in his MMA career, and he is one of the most unorthodox fighters in the world.

His style is a mishmash of various martial arts, and that has helped him a lot. However, many fans believed Adesanya would get the win easily over Page.

Weight class an issue

As pointed out by some fans, Adesanya fights in a different weight class to Page, and is heavier than the British star.

However, it seems that the fans sided on Izzy’s side for this fantasy bout from Chiesa. Adesanya is the Middleweight champion and is yet to taste defeat in his UFC career too.

The Nigerian-New Zealander last fought against Yoel Romero and kept his crown, despite the fight not being up to expectations.

However, he does seem to have a new rival for the title, and that is Brazilian Paulo Costa. Borrachinha, as he is known, wants to fight Izzy for the UFC title. However, the Brazilian is also unbeaten in his MMA career.

This would be an excellent fight in the UFC, and it will be interesting to see if this is set up anytime in the future.
