Conor McGregor was one of the UFC stars that Mike Perry wanted to get his hands on
Platinum Mike Perry might have lost his last fight but that hasn’t stopped him from calling out a few stars.
Perry was also handed a fine for missing weight against Tim Means and he lost that UFC 255 fight by a unanimous decision.
However, he has been trying to get a fight and first called out Alan Jouban. This was the first loss of Perry’s career and he might have been keen on settling that score.
He then called out rising star Li Jingliang and claimed that the Chinese star had turned down a fight against him in the past too.
Perry also claimed he was a huge fan of Chinese martial arts and added it would be an honour to knock him out.
However, the third tweet is when things got interesting. He called out several names including Conor McGregor.
Al Iaquinta, Paul Felder, Robbie Lawler, Vicente Luque and Niko Price were the others he named in the tweet.
Calling out so many names is a little weird and no one really took the bait. It would have been something if McGregor would accept the fight but the Notorious One has big plans on his mind.
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 in the works?
Perry has also seen the birth of his son in recent weeks and he might be a little busy with that.
However, McGregor has been in the wars lately. He lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 via a knockout but was quick to ask for a third shot at Poirier.
The score is 1-1 between them and even Poirier seems open to a trilogy. It is to be seen if this fight is for the UFC Lightweight title or not.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has retired from the UFC and Dana White is also keen to book Poirier vs McGregor 3.
That is a huge money fight for the promotion and many would be keen on buying the PPV.
