“Utter joke”, “Bellator is a circus” – MMA fans blast Bellator after signing Darina Madzyuk, female who KO’d 529lb man

Bellator seems to have taken a leap of faith in Russian MMA star Darina Madzyuk

Russian MMA star Darina Madzyuk, who made a splash after defeating a 529lb man, has made it to the big leagues.

The 28-year-old holds a 3-1 record in her professional career and is one a two-fight win streak. However, her claim to fame was defeating a rather large man in an MMA fight and even posing rather weirdly after the win.

Marc Goddard, a leading UFC referee, called this sickening and claimed this was mocking the MMA world.

Madzyuk, for her part, doesn’t seem too flustered. Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports confirmed that Bellator had signed the 28-year-old.

He brought up that excellent win over the 529-pounder and added that the female would be fighting in the Flyweight division.

Fans not convinced of the signing

The MMA world is a tough place but beating someone thrice your size is a feat for sure. However, there are some doubts about this win over the larger man.

It seemed that the larger ‘athlete’ only had the size advantage and didn’t know anything about fighting. A couple of decent blows to the face were enough to take him down and Madzyuk picked up a great win.

Many fans were shocked that Bellator decided to snap up the Russian star. Some claimed that this was a YouTube show and the fight between the two was fixed.

Others found holes in Madzyuk’s fighting style and claimed this was peak Bellator as they signed someone but it wasn’t going to be the right decision in the end.

It is to be seen what happens next with Madzyuk, but one thing is certain, all eyes will be on her and Bellator when she makes her debut.
