Cris Cyborg won her first title 24 years back and is one of the greatest MMA stars ever

MMA legend Cris Cyborg celebrated her 35th birthday recently but she isn’t slowing down.

The current Bellator star won the Featherweight title in the promotion in her first match. She defeated Julia Budd at Bellator 238 in January, and seems to be planning for more.

Cyborg posted a message on her Twitter handle claiming that even at 35, she feels her career is starting now.

She was also looking forward to her next Bellator fight and couldn’t wait to share the details with everyone:

Cyborg creating history

The win at Bellator was her fourth world title and each of those came in different promotions. The 35-year-old has won titles in Invicta, Strikeforce and the UFC. Cyborg is the only MMA athlete (male or female) to achieve such a grand slam in their career.

The 35-year-old is considered as the greatest female MMA star ever. She holds a career record of 22 wins and two losses with one no contest.

One of her losses was in her first professional fight against Erica Paes and the only other loss in her career has come against Amanda Nunes, another legend in the MMA circuit.

Cyborg also won her last fight in the UFC, which was against Felicia Spencer. However, the promotion could not come to an agreement over an extension.

The 35-year-old then joined Bellator and it will be interesting to see what is next for her. Cyborg could dominate the Featherweight division in her new promotion, and it would not come as a surprise if she keeps this title for a long time.
