Nate Diaz isn’t interested in fighting the surging and dangerous Khamzat Chimaev
Nate Diaz has just one fight in his contract, and he wants a top-ranked opponent to pick a fight with.
With ‘The Stockton Slugger’ looking to take on either Vicente Luque, UFC President Dana White believes a fight against the dangerous Khamzat Chimaev will make absolute sense.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, White revealed that he was looking forward to talking to Diaz about a possible fight against Chimaev.
A totally unimpressed Diaz, took to Instagram stories to post the clip of the same along with the clip of Russell Westbrook uttering the famous words – “What!? Bro, what you talking about man.”
The same was pointed out by ‘The MacLife guy’ – Oscar Willis.
Taking to Twitter he wrote:
“Nate Diaz seems unimpressed by this Khamzat Chimaev talk.”
Diaz is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Leon Edwards at UFC 263, while Chimaev recently beat Li Jingliang via. first round submission at UFC 267.
How will a fight between Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev go?
Nate Diaz is definitely past his prime. While he can still eat massive strikes with the same intensity, he for sure isn’t the 2016 version of himself.
Khamzat Chimaev, meanwhile, is on an upward surge. He has absorbed only a couple of strikes in his entire UFC career (4 fights), and looks much much more powerful than an average welterweight.
Although, it would be difficult to put the lights out on Diaz, a submission win for Chimaev is very much a possibility.
