UFC superstar Nate Diaz hilariously mocked Dustin Poirier’s impudent birthday wish he sent out to him
Dustin Poirier, who’s coming off a submission loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 269 for the 155 lbs. belt had closed the doors on his lightweight career and opened up to the idea of a welterweight jump. He has emphasized on several occasions that the only fight that makes him want to get out of his bed and train, is a fight against the ‘Stockton Slugger’ Nate Diaz.
However since then, Diaz has hinted at a move to Bellator, requested a release from the company and hit back at the UFC head honchos for their fighter wages. The Stockton superstar has been vocal about the UFC hampering his retirement fight from the sport and not allowing him to fight out his contract. If MMA pundit insights are to be believed, the UFC might be delaying of their own volition.
Dustin had suggested that the younger Diaz brother is stalling their fight, and the likelihood of that fight taking place is infinitesimal. UFC president Dana White confirmed the same during the UFC 273 press conference suggesting that the UFC is moving ahead of that fight.
Poirier joined everyone in wishing Nate on his birthday but took a cheeky dig at him. He said, ‘Get a deal done and get that a**whipped for your birthday’
Nate Diaz claps back at Dustin Poirier’s birthday wish
The younger Diaz brother was quick to respond to Poirier with a prompt reply suggesting that nobody likes him and he should be demoted to purple belt. Diaz has been critical about how Poirier being a black belt has been submitted several times in the UFC.
He said, ‘Bruh no one likes you and u su.. someone need a to put a purple belt on you thanks for da bday wishes tho 👊🏼’
Although Diaz hit back at Poirier, he thanked him for the wish, and the rivalry despite however competitive it might be has a healthy comradery side to it.
