“How about that burnt”- Nate Diaz responds to being called a “Fake Gangster” by Gilbert Burns

Nate Diaz and Gilbert Burns have been going at each other for a while

Following his victory over Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson at UFC 264, Gilbert Burns is itching to get his hands on another opponent and cement his position as a top-ranked welterweight.

This has got him entangled in several Twitter wars with fellow UFC welterweights, notably Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards.

During one such exchange with ‘The Stockton Slugger’ last week, Burns labelled Diaz a ‘fake gangster’, while also pointing out the number of losses he had in his UFC career.

Burns’ tweet read:

“That’s what I thought @NateDiaz209 you don’t want no smoke! So don’t say my name anymore bitch ass fake gangster! So many losses you have already! And your teammates that I already beat knows what I would do to you! Keep playing smart and save.”

This didn’t sit well with Diaz. Of course, it wouldn’t have. Burns just called the man dubbed as the ‘West Coast Gangster’, fake.

Diaz responded to Burns’ tweet, a week later, claiming that he would even fight Burns in a bathroom. But, he deleted the tweet a while later.

Diaz’s tweet read:

Gilbert Burns calls out Nate Diaz for a five-rounder

Earlier today, Burns called out Nate Diaz for a 5-round fight at Madison Square Garden. He taunted the ‘Stockton Slugger’ accusing him of running away.

He also made an obligation for the loser to pay the winner an extra $200,000.

Burns’ tweet read:

“Hey guys, when I was fighting @NateDiaz209 was running his mouth. Now I’m free, and he is free, he is running away. @NateDiaz209 let’s fight at MSG for 5 rounds. Loser has to pay the winner extra $200K Niteroi RJ vs Stockton CA. #DontBeScaredHomie.”

Diaz last fought Leon Edwards at UFC 263 where he lost to the Brit via. unanimous decision.
