Nate Diaz slams Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor after Dana White hints towards trilogy
UFC fighter Nate Diaz does not go soft with his words on social media. ‘The Stockton Slugger’ recently fired a shot at Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor with his recent social media post.
This came after UFC president all but confirmed that ‘The Diamond’ and ‘The Notorious One’ would be getting a trilogy fight in the summer.
Poirier and McGregor fought it recently at UFC 257. The American came out victor after a vicious TKO in round 2, and since then, the talks around a third fight have dominated the headlines.
Responding to this, Diaz posted a photo of him choking out the Irishman at UFC 196. He wrote below it-
“Don’t forget who started this G shit
The real uncrowned King
No rematches ever given.
Dustin you do what your told by your daddies u lil b****”
His caption doesn’t really make complete sense considering he did have a rematch and ended up losing to the former UFC double-champion at UFC 202.
Diaz also hit out at Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier regarding slapping the Russian and the Diamond skipping out on a fight a few years back.
Nevertheless, he got his point across. It may not be in the most poetic words, but it’s clear that he is itching for a fight with the big boys.
Diaz recently said in an interview that he wants a scrap with either Poirier or Charles Oliveira at 170. Oliveira’s team denied that they were interested in that fight and wanted to focus on UFC gold instead.
Poirier, however, responded to it by saying that he is not ruling it out. A fight between the two would, most likely, only take place after the trilogy fight.
Diaz himself hasn’t fought since his UFC 244 loss to Jorge Masvidal. He, however, aims to make a blockbuster return to the promotion this year.
