Nate Diaz’s longtime jiu-jitsu coach Cesar Gracie publicizes the birth of UFC superstar Nate Diaz’s third child while in preparation for UFC 279
Cesar Gracie is popular for being the coach of UFC superstars Nick and Nate Diaz. His team the ‘Cesar Gracie Fight Team’ or popularly known as the ‘Skrap Pack’ ruled the MMA landscape in the early 2000s. The slick grappling abilities, and superior submission skills of the Diaz brothers can be credited to Cesar, who was brought to the USA by his brother Renzo Gracie.
Ever since ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto broke out the news that a fight between UFC superstar Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev will headline UFC 279, the internet has been running amok. While fans are praising the bravado, and courage of Nate Diaz to face a young, hungry lion, others are worried that the Stockton slugger might not stand a chance against the undefeated Chechen. This will be the last fight of Nate Diaz’s UFC contract, and a potential move to boxing seems like an inevitable outcome.
It’s a known fact that Nate Diaz does not shy away from a challenge. He treats the fight game with the old-school warfare mentality, that gave rise to his famous comprehension ‘Kill or be Killed’. The Diaz boys have managed to keep their private life discreet. They maintain a solitary fight life when preparing for competition. Hence they do not like their loved ones to be part of the process, or come to watch them fight live.
The younger Diaz brother famously called out reporters in the past for constantly asking him about his kids. He first had a daughter with his long-time girlfriend, Misty Brown. The couple has a four-year-old daughter named Nikayla Diaz, who was born on June 6, 2018, at California Hospital. The news was made public on June 20, 2018.
The couple also had a son later, although not much is known. Older brother Nick had posted a picture of him, Cesar, and Nate with the baby.
During his interview with Submission Radio, Cesar detailed that Nate was supposed to come down to his gym for training, but could not owing to the birth of his third child. He said, ‘‘Nate was supposed to come out for a training on Monday at my gym. And Nate cancelled, but then what happened was his wife went into premature labor. And so he had a baby yesterday.”
He added, ” He had a beautiful little girl. He sent me a picture, and I was like you are excused from training”
Team Diaz vs Team Chimaev- Nick Diaz joins brother Nate Diaz, while Darren Till joins Khamzat Chimaev in preparation for their upcoming bout
Loyalty runs deep in the blood of Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev, who are all set to lock horns in the main event of UFC 277. Speak to, or about Nate Diaz, and one name is sure to pop- older brother Nick Diaz, who has been instrumental in his rise to stardom. While their relationship is etched in blood, Chimaev found an unlikely brotherhood in Darren Till. The two have shared a beautiful comradery, and ‘Smesh Bros’ have become an internet sensation.
MMA fans have all heard about the brawling adventures of Diaz’s brother. We all remember their infamous run-in with the Khabib Nurmagomedov crew, which according to Nate was set off by the Dagestanis trying to prank him. Older brother Nick, jumped into the action, and tossed a glass full of beer towards the ‘Eagle’. The brawl spilt out into the lobby, and both teams were separated by the police.
During UFC 273, Till was confronted by Joaquin Buckley for a potential fight in the future. While Buckley honestly didn’t say anything disrespectful, it was enough for Khamzat to size him up, and verbally threaten him.
In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Chimaev’s coach said that regardless of what fans are suggesting [Nate Diaz being an easy fight], they are taking this fight very seriously. The camp has roped in talents from all disciplines of fighting to help the Chechen prepare. UFC middleweight fighter Darren Till will be a prominent member of this camp, since he can emulate the style of Diaz, being a fellow southpaw himself.
With only over a month away for the event, preparations are in full swing, and the older brother Nick, who has a bad reputation for his usual hiatus, has joined the Nate camp. Similarly Till has come in to support his fellow ‘Smesh Bro’, and prepare Chimaev for the fight.
