UFC Fight Night 192: Nate Maness puts on a ‘Comeback of the Year’ performance against Tony Gravely

Nate Maness earned a stunning knockout win over Tony Gravely in the main card of UFC Fight Night 192 (UFC Vegas 37)

Nate Maness put on a performance that would be talked about for years and years. ‘Mayhem’ looked shaky in the first round of the fight, but he hung on.

Towards the end of the first round, at the sound of the bell, he was knocked down by a vicious punch from Tony Gravely. Had there been 5 seconds more, Gravely would have finished Maness.

A lot of credit fell on referee Keith Peterson as well – for letting the fight go on.

A groggy Maness walked to his team following the conclusion of round 1. He looked like he was seeing stars, and commentator Michael Bisping pointed out the same as well.

No one gave Maness a chance at the beginning of the second round. Halfway into the second round, with the fight in the center of the cage, a massive right hand from Maness landed flush on Gravely’s face.

Maness quickly got to the careened Gravely, and finished him with a barrage of strikes in what is believed to be one of the most incredible comebacks in mixed martial arts.
