Jessica Eye missed her weight for the main event at UFC Las Vegas 2

UFC star Jessica Eye has out over some rumours regarding her missing weight at UFC Las Vegas 2.

The Flyweight star was unable to stand during the weigh-ins and towels were brought in as she tried to get into the limit.

However, Eye claimed she was just 0.25 pounds over the limit, but the fight was still a catchweight. Cynthia Calvillo got the better of Eye, but many have claimed that she was way over the limit.

Eye confirmed that she was over the limit, but hit out at other suggestions. The UFC veteran was speaking on the MMA Fighting podcast recently and was allowed to speak her mind:

“I weighed what I weighed and what everyone saw. I am not going to go into arguing with a million people things that they think that they saw or this and that like. Just not going to give anybody the f****** arguments that they want. Everyone’s seen what they’ve seen, and that’s it.”

No idea what went wrong

Eye further said that the one reason why she couldn’t make weight was that she took the fight with three weeks notice.

The UFC star added that losing the last two-three pounds was always tough. However, she blamed herself and didn’t make any other excuses apart from the short time she had to prepare.

Eye further highlighted that she didn’t have bad eating habits and junk food wasn’t even in her diet.

The UFC veteran, however, was magnanimous in defeat and enjoyed the fight. She went on to say that the UFC pays fighters to make weight and the fighting was the fun part.

Eye went on to say that she was open to fighting again, despite turning 34 in a month’s time. However, she wasn’t looking to fight now as she wanted a break.
