Paddy Pimblett absolutely starched Luigi Vendramini on his UFC debut
The hype is real. Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett decimated Brazilian Luigi Vendramini on debut to kickstart his UFC career with a bang.
The former Cage Warriors Fighting Featherweight Champion had a massive cloud of hype hovering over him for quite a while.
In the main card of UFC Vegas 36: Brunson vs Till he made his UFC debut. With wishes from several big names, notably Conor McGregor, Pimblett was out to prove that the hype was real.
At the beginning of the fight, he began feeling the heat of the UFC. Vendramini clipped Pimblett with several massive left-hand strikes. One of those almost knocked Pimblett out.
Like he said at the post-fight interview following his win – “I’m a Scouse, we don’t get knocked out,” Pimblett showed the heart of a lion.
The extremely agile Brit unleashed a barrage of strikes on Vendramini towards the end of the first round.
It was totally unexpected, and the Brazilian had no clue about it, whatsoever. He was not able to withstand the brute force of ‘The Baddy’. Beyond-impressive debut.
Several stars were quick to react to Pimblett’s victory. Here are a few of them:
The best part of Pimblett’s game is his ability to walk the talk. Given his ‘big mouth’, the Scouser always backs his talk up. And he did the same against Vendramini as well.
Fighters like Belal Muhammad, Aljamain Sterling and others were in awe of the Liverpudlian’s performance.
Looks like Paddy Pimblett is the real deal. He might go a long way in disrupting the lightweight picture of the UFC.
